Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology

This course is designed to provide the student with a basic knowledge of the normal structure, function and interrelationships of the cells, tissues, organs and systems of the human body. Units covered in the first semester include: chemistry, cell structure, tissues & membranes, the integumentary system, the skeletal system, the muscular system, the nervous system, the sensory system, the endocrine system, the cardiovascular system, and lymphatics. Proper terminology will also be covered.
