Introduction to Medical Billing

This course is designed to deliver a comprehensive view on documentation in a medical practice.  The course will aid the student in indentifying each health insurance payer, its individual rules and procedures, and the relevant information that must be included in claim forms.  Topics to be covered include Legal Aspects; The Life Cycle of an Insurance Claim; Coding; Guidelines for Claims Processing; Filing Insurance Claims; and the appeals process.
