This course is designed to provide an understanding of various prefixes, suffixes, roots or stems and the combination of components in medical terms are used to arrive at a definition of a word through the analysis of its parts. Through the use of descriptive terms a better understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, diagnostic procedures, and the signs and symptoms of diseases will be gained.
