Students will have demonstrate competence in basic math skills prior to this course, which is an essential foundation for understanding dosage calculations. Math of drugs and solutions focuses on systems of weights and measurements, system equivalents, conversion from one system or another and the calcuations of drug dosages and solutions. Administration of medications focuses on concepts and skills related to the prparation of drugs and the delivery of medication utilizing safe and appropriate techniques.
