Certified Nurses Aide

The Certified Nurse’s Aide Training Program consists of 90 hours over 12 weeks of specified theory and clinical curriculum. Students become familiar with equipment, materials and supplies which are used in basic healthcare institutions appropriate in the role of nursing assistant.

Clinical practice is achieved through affiliation with a local nursing home and rehabilitation center.

Upon successful completion and passing examination, participants will be certified as Nurse’s Aides by the New Jersey State Department of Health. This certification is also recognized in Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland and Delaware.

The CNA Program meets the requirements needed to provide quality care to the long-term resident and is approved by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.

The CNA Program is an excellent introduction to the healthcare field and can serve as a catalyst toward a career path as either a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse.

Note: A student who completes the Program and who obtains employment as a Nurse’s Aide in a long-term care facility within one year of completion of this training is eligible for reimbursement of costs incurred (including competency evaluations)
