Dental Radiography Technician
The Dental Radiography Technician Program consists of a twelve-week course. This course fulfills the requirements of the NJ Radiography Technician Act (NJSA28:20-24) for the education of Dental Radiography Technician as well as preparation for the Dental Radiologic Technology Licensing examination.
Students must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or G.E.D. The duration of the course is nine completed weeks of class, followed by 15 completed hours or lab and 30 completed hours of clinical.

Course Description
This is a 12-week course of study designed to provide the student with the basic knowledge needed to become a Dental Radiography Technician. Areas covered are the theoretical aspects of dental x-ray techniques, safety, infection control and diagnostic uses of radiography. Upon satisfactory completion of theory, there are 15 hours of clinical lab with the instructor, followed by 30 additional clinical hours. The student is then eligible to take the state licensing exam.
