Computerized Accounting

This course is designed to provide the beginner or novice with fundamental knowledge of computerized accounting using QuickBooks Pro. Students will explore the many ways in which QuickBooks Pro can simplify the accounting process of a small business. Students will learn to navigate the menus and toolbar, comprehend and apply a Chart of Accounts, create a simulated company, record customer and vendor transactions including income and expenses, enter data into the register, interpret financial statements, formulate estimates, invoice customers, track time by job list, understand reporting capabilities, develop graphs, generate forms, record and monitor physical inventories, and build, produce, and track payroll systems. Students will be able, upon successful course completion, to perform financial analysis and comparisons in QuickBooks and more.
