Medical Terminology
3 Credits

The student will gain a command of medical language, which will be taught by a thorough examination of root words, prefixes, and suffixes. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to read, write, and understand both traditional and new leading edge terminology used in all disciplines of modern medicine. This basic and necessary background will provide a first step toward entrance into a medical office, medical service, or hospital career. This course is a prerequisite for BE-116-Medical Transcription, which is offered in the Spring Semester
