Tuition Charge Back for Out of County Residents

Students who permanently reside in any county other than Somerset may have their out of county portion of the tuition paid for by their home county.

If your county does not have a vocational-technical school:

• Go to your county treasurer and obtain a certification of residence.
• Bring or send the certificate to the Somerset County Technology Institute, with your payment for the course you wish to attend.

If your county does have an evening vocational-technical school:

• Go to your county school and obtain a certificate of eligibility.
• Take the certificate of eligibility to your county treasurer and exchange it for a certificate of residence.
• Bring or send the certificate of residence to the Somerset County Technology Institute, with your payment at the time of registration.
