Auto Body
This two-year program is offered to students interested in a career in Auto Body fender repair and refinishing. Students work on their own cars and ARE REQUIRED TO FURNISH SOME OF THEIR OWN MATERIALS.

AB05A Auto Body-Intro to Custom Paint - Cancelled

This course is an introduction to the basic techniques of custom painting for autos, motorcycles, and more. Every participant will be hands on and will create their own individual pieces of artwork during this coarse. Instructions and techniques include the use of airbrush, conventional spray equipment, substrate preparation, primers/sealers, differences of paint systems, freehand, stenciling, taping/striping, marbleizing, granite effect, realistic flames, old school flames, tribal flames, ghost flames tear-a-ways, wood grain, distressed metal, candies, metal flake, pearls, prismatic/hologram, and more.

Carpentry
CT02 Carpentry

Students will be introduced to interior treatments such as partition construction, window and door installation, Insulation, drywall, taping, interior moldings. Students will understand the safety and use of the related hand and power tools. Students will demonstrate acquired skills through hands on project development throughout the semester. Students will provide safety glasses and tape measures.

MANICURING
MC01A Manicuring

The program prepares the student to sit for the New Jersey Manicuring license in just 18 weeks. A HIGH
SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT MUST BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION.
Tuition is non-refundable.

This 300-hour course will stress public hygiene, bacteriology, sterilization and sanitation, acrylic nails, nail wraps, nail tips, nail art and creativity, pedicuring and waxing. Guest nail technicians who specialize in acrylic nails and air brushing will share their techniques and experiences in the nail industry.

This course will cover N.J. and ASME Boiler Code, design, accessories, support systems and operations. All information needed to safely operate boilers. Class open to anyone interested. Those interested in N.J. Boiler License must show 3 months work experience and take state exam. Black seal LP is any Hot Water or Steam Boiler (under 15psi).

This course is for blue, red and gold seal engineers. You must hold a N.J. Stationary Engineers license or show six months experience in a high pressure plant rated over 500 bhp. Course includes BO11 and additional studies in steam turbines, steam engines, pumps, condensers, electric generation and other subjects needed to pass a Blue or Red seal exam by 70% and a Gold seal exam by 80%. Blue thru Gold-Stationary Engineer Steam Boiler Over 15psi and Steam Equipment.

BT-14 Outboard Marine Maintenance and Repair
This course is designed for recreational boaters who want to perform their own minor outboard engine repairs and maintenance. Students will learn basic terminology and principles of outboard engine operation, how to diagnose the most common causes of engine failure and how to prevent failure with preventative maintenance. Actual hands on experience will be provided to demonstrate common repair techniques for fuel, ignition, cooling and drive systems failures. Some technical knowledge and manipulative skills are required for successful completion or this course.
