Somerset County Technology Institute continues to benefit from more than forty years of excellence in education. As we look back at SCTI's accomplishments over the years, we see that the Institute has come a long way since it was founded in 1960 by the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

The school that initially offered basic typing, practical nursing, automotive and welding trades now includes the latest technology curriculum in dental radiography and computer networking.

Today, the Technology Institute and its Adult Continuing Education division enroll more than 1,500 students who are preparing for immediate entry into today's workforce or for continuing education. These students master skills using state-of-the-art equipment in a variety of courses such as Animation, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Cisco Networking. In addition, employees of area companies who are students at SCTI are receiving customized training to help them improve and upgrade skills to advance in their careers.

SCTI is a fully accredited post-secondary institution that continues to provide quality education for adults who wish to pursue careers in Technology, Allied Health, Office Administration, Graphic Communications, or Cosmetology.

Flexible schedules that accommodate the working student, the lowest tuition in the area and financial aid for those who qualify ensure that all segments of the population are able to take advantage of the quality education offered at SCTI. Prospective students should visit SCTI, which is located on an 80-acre campus in Bridgewater in Somerset County, New Jersey.
