Student Services
The office of student services is located on the first floor of the Institute. the staff will provide assistance to students regarding all aspects of Academics such as: Admissions,Registration and student records.

Bulletin Boards
There are several official bulletin boards located at the Technology Institute. The bulletin bored located at the end of the first floor corridor is used specifically as a job listing bored. Full-time and part-time positions are currently available to  SCTI students and graduates are posted on this bored. students and graduates are welcome to address their inquiries to the job coordinator/Recruiter. Official notices for both student government and student services are posted on the boards outside of the main office. Students should be aware of these notices and are requested to consult the bored periodically. Miscellaneous notices should be cleared through the main office before posting.

Follow-up of Students
The Federal Government mandates that the technology institute perform routine follow-up of all students. Data is being compiled to indicate the success of programs and student employment. For this reason students are asked to inform the job coordinator employment obtained during enrollment or following the withdrawal from the school. Periodically, the Program Supervisor or coordinator will attempt to contact students who have dropped form the school to determine placement information. Employers of former students who are employed in a field related to their training are also contacted through a survey questionnaire for the purpose of evaluating occupational programs.

Student Lounge
The student lounge is available to Technology Institute students during school days. Vending machine profits support Student Government activities. The lounge is located in room B109 of the Technology Institute building.

Food Service
Food is served in the cafeteria Southeast of the  Technology Institute, From 11:30am through 1:15pm. Lunches may be purchased by SCTI students. Vending machines are located in the student lounge of the institute. Vending machine profits support Student Government activities. In the interest of sanitation, all food and beverage should be consumed in the cafeteria or student lounge.

Gymnasium
The school complex has a gymnasium which is available to students of the Technology Institute. Arrangements for the use of the gymnasium are made through the athletic director.

Media Center
The newly remodeled campus media center is located in building E and contains two computer labs, a study area , a teacher work room, periodicals and books. Books may be borrowed for 14 days. The Educational Media Specialist will help students and teachers with their research needs. The library hours are 7:45am to 3:00pm. Monday through Friday. SCTI students may also utilize the services provided by Raritan Valley Community College Library. Another resource is the Somerset County Bridgewater Library which is adjacent to the technology Institute. Students can access the County Library computer system from terminals in the school library.

Bookstore
The Somerset County Technology Institute bookstore, located on the first floor across from the main office in the Technology Institute building will be open only during the first three weeks of each semester. Dates and hours that the bookstore will be open will be posted at the beginning of each semester.

In the event of a possible closing or delayed opening, the following rules apply:
1. If Somerset County Technology Institute is not mentioned specifically by name as closed, SCTI is open.
2. Should the radio announcement refer to a late opening at SCTI due to inclement weather, the first class will begin at 10:00 AM

Campus Security
The Somerset County Vocational & Technical Schools Security Department seeks to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for all those using its facilities there are several ways to access security:

Safety
Safety is a group responsibility. Individuals who have developed safe work habits rarely injure themselves or those around them. Wear safety glasses. Never use equipment without the instructors permission. wear appropriate clothing. always remember that a safe worker is an efficient one.follow the safety rules for each specific laboratory. if in doubt ask an instructor.A Student Safety Council is appointed and members will hold semester inspections of schools areas under the guidance of the Faculty Safety Chairperson. The Council will record safety violations and recommend corrective action to be taken. A campus Security Report is available to all students at the begging of each school year. Parking Regulations 
Ample facilities for student parking are provides. Student parking areas include the northeast and the northwest sides of the Institute. Parking stickers are available in the Main Office. SCTI is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property. Faculty parking is in the assigned area located off the road just to the weest of the Institute. Students are NOT permitted to use the faculty parking area. Autos may be towed away at owner's expense.Students are expected to obey all traffic sign's, regulations and security guard instructions.

Handicapped Parking
Parking for handicapped students is located in the faculty parking area just west of the Institute building. Students with a temporary handicap, who do not have a handicapped licence tag, may obtain a temporary handicap permit from the Main Office.

Accessibility for the Handicapped
The Somerset County Technology Institute is fully accessible to the handicapped. If you require special accommodations, contact the Director of Post-Secondary Education at (908)5268900, ext 7265

Fire Procedure
Building evacuation directions have been posted in each room of the school. During fire emergencies or fire drills, follow the evacuation route posted in your particular room or area and exit the building in an orderly manner. Fires should be reported immediately by activating the nearest fire alarm and or notifying any school official.

Student Dress
Neatness and cleanliness are expected of every student. Wearing apparel should not distract from the learning climate of the institute. Health program students should wear the prescribed uniforms or other appropriate dress as requested by the department. Proper clothes and shoes are to be worn in laboratory area.

Lockers and Personal Property
Hall lockers will be assigned to students.Personal locks are not to be placed on any locker unless permission has been granted by the administration. Lockers must be emptied of all personal property at the end of the school year(May). SCTI is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
